Now I was wandering, just pondering life’s many quandaries
The ultimate question within my grasp
But just as I was formulating the answer to it all, yeah everything
A guy butts in asks the quickest route down town
I said “Now let me think, this time of day, it will be busy on the bridge
Now hang on so third left then best to just follow the signs”

So, what was I saying before I was so brusquely interrupted?
Was it something to do with things that get my goat?
And that’s a weird one, idiom idiotica, as it were
Where’s that from? I’m gonna need to look that up
Let’s see, and let’s try to not get distracted
Well who’d of thunk that, how bizarre, you want me to share?

It says they put a goat in the stable of a horse the night before its big race?
To calm it down? No surely that can’t that be right, that cannot be right
No not here we’re not doing the Airplane joke Shirley
It is funny but it puts me off my stroke, where were we?
Goats being got, confidence knocked, directions to way down town
And then somebody said I need to get out cos this all is just dragging me down
